Windows 10 Slow log on, takes ~50-60 at "Preparing Windows" Non Persistence devices

Dear All,

 

We are facing slow log on issue on our VDI environment, average log on time is around ~120-140 seconds

 "Preparing Windows" --> ~50-60 Seconds

Appx Load Package --> ~30-40 Seconds

 

XenDesktop 1912 LTSR, VDA 1912 CU3, UPM.

Please suggest!

Try this registerkey DelayedDesktopSwitchTimeout in "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System" and set it to 0

Is UPM working properly?   That sort of time is what we get for brand new users, or after a user's FSLogix profile has been reset in FSLogix.   It's about how long it takes for a completely fresh profile to be configured by Win10, so it may be that UPM isn't quite working right.

 

FSLogix is free for many/most users now, and is hassle free to implement and manage.   You just need some storage to hold the profile VHDs.
