MCS provisioning Error - "Sign-In process initialization failure. Interactive sign-in process initialization has failed"

After provisioning an image template from App Layering, when going through the MCS catalog update provisioning steps the preparation VM hangs up on this prompt visible in the Vmware console:

"Sign-In process initialization failure. Interactive sign-in process initialization has failed"

[OK]

 

If I click OK the process finishes as normal and the catalog is updated. The strange thing is I have two different image templates using the same OS and Platform layers (different app layers) and it provisions fine in one but not the other. 

 

Any ideas?

I would try to think about what is in the layers that are different.

 

Do you ever add a packaging machine to the domain besides the platform layer.
 

Could you have not reversed that out before finalizing if you so?

Did you ever get top the bottom of this as i have the same issue. I'm not using App Layering.

Wayne do you have session recording installed?  I see some references to issues with MSMQ when session recording is installed.
