SCSI controller VMware Paravirtual not switching to LSI Logic SAS

Weird situation...

Switching from LSI to Paravirtual and the templates assigned to the newly created connectors are configured with Paravirtual SCSI controllers but when trying to create a new platform layer the subsequent vm that is created is configured with LSI even though i'm using the newly created controller that is configured with Paravirtual. 

 

Running ESXi 6.0 and App Layering 19.1.0.17

We do not support Paravirtual SCSI controllers and do not have any current plans to do so.
