Publish a URL in micorosft edge?

Hi All,

 

I need to publish a URL in microsoft edge.

 

I've been searching all over and all I can find is information about receiver in edge but nothing on publishing edge itself.

 

Can anyone help me here. I've tried the following

 

C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\MicrosoftEdge.exe

and

C:\Windows\explorer.exe shell:Appsfolder\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe!MicrosoftEdge

 

The first one does nothing visible and the second one gives an unable to launch error. Error 2. If I put shell:Appsfolder\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe!MicrosoftEdge in the command line argument it just opens a browser window, explorer.exe.

 

I cant believe more admins havent been asked by users to publish apps in edge but there seems to be almost no information about this on the web.

Im just seeing these sorts of errors though no matter how I try to launch it.

As ive not been able to get edge to launch I have published a windows 10 desktop.

 

This is not ideal as I wanted to lose the address bar and lock the browser to one url so if anyone does know of a way please let me know.

Where were you trying to launch edge from? I thought this was a shortcut style setup - Edge is only in desktop OS :)

I created a Windows 10 delivery group for apps and tried some of the methods on the web including creating a bat file calling the "Start microsoft-edge:" command

I believe Edge is a "Universal" app.  If you haven't already, take a peek at this:
