Message in Edge about Full VPN and EPA

Hi

After setup new netscaler with actual version 12.1-51.16 I get the following Message on accessing my Citrix Gateway Page.

I have another netscaler adc which I have upgraded to the same version, but the message is not apearing.

It is only used as an access gateway to my desktops with storefront.

 

There is no message in Firefox or Internet Explorer 11.

 

How to disable that message? What did I have done wrong?

No, I have reproduced the issue with 50.28 and then updated to 50.31. Just after updating to 51.16 I got that message in Edge. Downgraded to 50.31: no message anymore. Without changing any configuration. Probably there is some new default setting in 51.16?

At the moment I'll Keep 50.31, probably I'll find some time to open a case for that.

Instead of using this file (since you can be on different version) just remove this line:

-1<navigator.userAgent.indexOf("Edge")&&CTXS.ExtensionAPI.showMessage({localize:!0,messageText:"Edge_browser_unsupported_message",messageTitle:"",okButtonText:"OK",isalert:!1,okAction:function(){self._focusOnFirstInputField()}});

 

from /var/netscaler/logon/LogonPoint/plugins/ns-gateway/nsg-setclient.js

I have justed tested it. Provided file had more modifications. Plus later one if Citrix will not put this fix into new release you will need to do it anyways.

Thanks Yannick, this sounds promising.

 

Having this issue on the latest maintenance ver of 12.1 build 53.12

 

I have raised a support ticket with support, they seem oblivious to the issue... and are suggesting rolling back and simply wait for a release whenever it becomes available - cannot wait that long  :-(

 

Is there any chance you can share the Citrix support engineer name so that I can contact, if you don't mind?

Hey Guys,

 

I see solutions for X1 and RfWebUI but not for Greenbubble.

So here it is:

 

Winscp to your NS

Go to /netscaler/ns_gui/vpn/

Download the file : index.html

Edit this file and delete this function:

}            
function browserSupportCheck()
{
   if (navigator.userAgent.indexOf("Edge") > -1) {
       window.alert(_("logon::Edge_browser_unsupported_message"));
   }
}           

        

Upload and overwrite (after you saved the backup file)

Pop-up is gone.

 

Remember when you upgrade do this again.

Tested with:

Version: NS12.0 61.8.nc
