Installing VDA 1811 on Win10 N Education : Error 1603

Hi

I am trying to install VDA on a fresh VM Win10 N Edu (with media feature pack) in order to create a master MCS image.

 

The install end with a 1603 error. In the log :

MSI (s) (08:C4) [18:06:59:046]: Product: Citrix Browser Content Redirection -- Installation failed.

I join the entire log to the post.

 

I have tried with a Win10 EDU non N.

 

I have tried this with no success :

I am lost.

I have to mention that I am a Citrix rookie. It is my first deployment ;)

Okay !

I have found that :

My Win10 is not a german version but a french one... I tried to install BCR_x64.msi and I had an error about Citrix HBX browser redirection service (cf msi_install_1.PNG).

I had a look on the services like @mschwenke3 advised and changed AUTORITE NT\SERVICE LOCAL to Service local (cf services.PNG and services_after.PNG).

 

I had the same error for  Citrix HDX Port Forwarding Service (cf msi_install_2.PNG).

 

BCR_x64.msi finished install sucessfully :)

 

Then I have restarted VDA install witch success.

Was this issue reproducible on Non-Edu version of Windows 10 as well?

Hi,

 

I did not test on an other version.

 

In fact, I don't know if an upgrade of windows changed something but now the problem is gone and the installation is no longer a problem.

One more follow up question for this, Have you tried with 1811 again or the issue is fixed with 1903?
