After upgrading to XenDesktop 7.15 LTSR, Receiver for Chrome 2.5.708 is just showing spinning wheel

Hi there,

after our recently upgrade from XenDesktop 7.14.1 to 7.15, our employees are reporting that the login via Receiver for Chrome using the current version 2.5.708 is no longer working. They just see a spinning wheel after the entered their credentials, regardless if they clear the cache, reinstall it etc. Receiver for HTML5 is working fine. Is there anything we can do? Thank you.

As a workaround till the issue gets resolved, you may use chrome browser to download the ica file on chromebooks and launch using Receiver for Chrome.

The only solution i was able to solve this was:

- remove the user account from the ChromeBook and readd it

or

- factory reset the ChromeBook

unfortunately we are not using Chromebooks, just the plain Chrome Addon. Is it not intended to use it on non-chromebooks? Can you help me generating a ICA file? We have a NetScaler Gateway VPX in front of our Storefront if this additional information is needed.

It is supported only on Chromebooks.

However you can run on non-chromebooks as well with limited features.

We are trying to reproduce internally but somehow we are unable to repro. In the mean time could you please follow the below steps and confirm if it fixes the issue.

1) Open Chrome browser and go to chrome://inspect/#apps

2) Click on inspect button seen below Main.html (like below)

Citrix Receiver

chrome-extension://haiffjcadagjlijoggckpgfnoeiflnem/ChromeAppUI/Main.html

3) Once the debug window opens, copy and paste the following script in the console tab and press enter.

var webView = document.getElementById('WRFrame');

var ClearDataOptions = {'since':0};

var ClearDataTypeSet = {'cookies':true,'cache':true,'persistentCookies' : true,'appcache':true,'localStorage':true};

if(webView){

webView.clearData(ClearDataOptions,ClearDataTypeSet,function(){

Expected : Spinning wheel should go away and Store page to be loaded.

I have two sim. I used to connect using mobile hotspot. When i use the hotspot of vodafone, I have this issue occuring.

Please help me on this issue, This is really annoying.

Can you try on a Chromebook ?

Chrome CWA is officially supported only on Chrome OS devices

Hi Shruthi,

For me , citrix app for chrome is working fine if I am using Jio mobile network without any issues. OS is Ubuntu 20.04.

If I am using Vodafone network, it is not working. I cannot predict when this will work for Vodafone network.

Both the networks, I am using as mobile hotspot.

Again the issue is popping up. No luck this time. I tried restarting my system many times. Still I am not able to connect.

Why citrix for linux is very complex. This is really frustating issue.

What is the difference between success logs and failure logs? Can somebody give me the difference ?
