WEM Agent 4.4 with VDA 7.15 Profil error

Good Morning,

 

i got a solution. In PVS Maintance mode i did a gpupdate and in the wem console on the Agent a reset the upm settings. right now on all Server its working.

 

stupid error!

Hi,

 

i installed on a 2016 Server VDA 7.15 LTS and the WEM Agent 4.400. After login every User get a new Citrix Profil. I configured UPM over WEM. 

 

In Windows Systemlog under Norskale is a Error:

 

Norskale Agent Service No rules in the database.

 

I did a refresh of the cache but nothing fixed the issues

 

with the VDA Agent 14.1 it works!

 

Can someone help me?? Thx..

Hello,

 

i got the same issue.

 

i have to enable UPM with GPO to make it work with WEM

 

just enable UPM without any other settings.

 

let me know if it works.

Hi Pierre,

 

no sorry same error after i enabled the UPM Setting in the GPO. Every Login a new Profil an the same error.

You have to check if the Citrix Profile Manager Service is running. I hade this Issue allready on 3 Installations.

If you have enabled UPM from your GPO then you can check the Citrix profile manager service as Marco said.

 

You can also check the connectivity with the database. Make sure the DB is also working.

Are you able to perform other actions?

 

You can also check for the access permissions to your AD and DB.

Hi,

 

i have tried a lot. But i found out that the Citrix Profile Manager Service is runing and a restart is not the Solutions. If i reset in the Wem Console the Citrix Upm Settings on the Agent ist work perfect but after reboot same issus.

 

Some more Information i use Citrix PVS 7.15 and have the local database from wem on d: drive.

I create a Task at Startup from the Server that refresh the Cache and start the norscale Service and netlogon Service new.

I have seen a couple of instance of WEM driven UPM not playing all that nicely, my advice is to put UPM control back into GPO and drive it from there - you have more flexibility via the GPO path and there isn't a noticeable performance increase from driving it via WEM.

 

Same goes for Folder redirection - whilst you can do it all within WEM, its been more stable driving out of GPO
