Icon caching out of sync can be a possible cause.

Try synchronizing "AppData\Local\Citrix\PNAgent\Icon Chache\*.ico" from GPO

or you can include Taskbar Pinned Shortcuts location in Inclusion list

"%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar"

you can also add the Taskbar Pinned Shortcuts Locations in " folders to mirror" policy

Hope this will help.

We have Win10 VDI setup recently in our environment, the programs pinned to the taskbar disappears once the VDI reboots. We have Citrix UPM configured in the environment .

The Files are getting stored in AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar both in the Local\Roaming Profile .

Please help to proceed further.

try with UPM 5.8. there was some inconsistencies with earlier releases, where it made a difference if you were logging off vs. shut down. setting SettlementPeriodBeforeAutoShutdown 00:00:15 for the delivery group might be a workaround.
