1 Jason Roberson
Should this utility work with 4.5? It is rejecting my root pw but I can SSH to the appliance with the account. 1 Link to comment
1 Brandon Beck1709158164
I got it to work but disabling inheritance didn't help. What finally did it was NOT running as administrator. Tried on another system as well and it worked right away when I ran normally. Thanks for the recommendations! 1 Link to comment
0 Victor Homocea1709157515
Hi Jerred, I'm getting a "A script on this page is causing your web browser to run slowly" warning message after typing the root password and hitting the Save button. Any workaround for this? Thanks Link to comment
0 Rob Zylowski1709158051
I heard someone was having an issue with the utility and an error. When you run this make sure you run "As Administrator" and you need to be an Administrator on the machine you run it on. Link to comment
0 Jason Roberson
Looks like plink was hanging in the background not accepting the cert on my appliance. After closing the hung processes and manually accepting the cert the utility is working for me. Link to comment
0 Brandon Beck1709158164
Is there an updated version of this utility? I've used it in the past but it's not working for me anymore. On the setup tab when trying to save I'm getting "Plink Initialization failed. Please Try saving again." Link to comment
0 Rob Zylowski1709158051
Did you "Run As Administrator"? Link to comment
0 Brandon Beck1709158164
Yes, running as administrator Link to comment
0 Rob Zylowski1709158051
If you run putty to the ELM address it will add the server fingerprint and do the same thing as the plink initialization. So you can try that just make sure its the same exact hostname you use in setup and putty. Link to comment
0 Brandon Beck1709158164
After connecting with Putty it asks if I want to cache the key. After clicking yes I can see the key cached in the registry at HKCU\Software\SimonTatham\Putty\SshHostKeys. Next I ran the hta, as administrator, and tried to save again. I'm getting the same error and when I check the registry the cached key is gone. Link to comment
0 Brandon Beck1709158164
I also tried to just run "Get OS Layers" after caching the key with Putty instead of updating the password again. This results in the script error below. Link to comment
0 Rob Zylowski1709158051
Brandon on 2016 I always have to disable inheritance on the folder i create for the utility then change the permissions to allow full control and therefore writes to the utility folders. This may be causing the issue you are seeing. Link to comment

I am still getting ELM Password Test Failed Please try again I am using elm 20.5.0.1008 Any help would be great, Thanks, Chris Link to comment
