This feature request is to take the idea of client virtualization one step further than XenApp has already done, and make it so that it can be used in any hosted scenario, and not confined to a LOB application scenarios.
In doing this, XenApp can effectively be used in public and anonymous web sites. This of course will present its own challenges, but will solve a tremendous need in the .NET development space as described by this very popular request:
In allowing for any always-connected hosted scenario, XenApp would enable organizations and developers to work in their favorite development stack (as they do now in LOB scenarios) but in a mass and full-market capacity manner.
In addition to being hosted in a public/anonymous website, XenApp could also be hosted within native scenarios too, such as iOS and Droid. Again, this is done already today in a LOB capacity and context, but the idea here is to make it viably scalable.
As reference, you can see this is already being attempted in efforts such as GTX+ plus Broadway:
But again it is not scalable and that is the business problem we are hoping to solve here.
Thank you for any consideration and/or conversation around this very important concept!
