Hi Community,

My concern/question is more of an ambitious feature request.  Basically, it involves using XenApp as a full-fledged solution for a publicly and anonymously accessible website.

Well, I am assuming that this is a feature request because from my understanding this is not currently possible, correct?  In order to use XenApp you have to be connected to a domain of some sort, is my understanding.

Anyways, it would be nice to know if this is possible, and if (surprisingly) so how viable it is, and/or if there is a better forum/medium/location to discuss this.

FWIW, this is to meet the demand for .NET developers that are asking for a ubiquitous .NET application model as described here:

https://visualstudio.uservoice.com/forums/121579-visual-studio-ide/suggestions/10027638-create-a-ubiquitous-net-client-application-develo

Basically, all the scenarios in this request are met with the exception of the web, which requires a JavaScript codebase that is incompatible with .NET.  This forces development teams to duplicate their development efforts, thereby doubling the cost of .NET solutions.

Thank you for any information you can provide!

- MD

FWIW, some innovative peeps already have already done some cooking with this:

Just a matter before someone like Docker innovates and profits from it.  Also sounds like Awingu is interested and has been researching this as well.

MSFT to start inquiring large clients if the type of service we are requesting/discussing here is interesting/valuable.  Maybe Citrix should do the same thing. :P

You can open a support case and submit an enhancement request.

Hi @mloenho329, looking around, I was only able to find this enhancement request forum:

https://discussions.citrix.com/forum/869-enhancement-requests/

That looks like it is for "Insight Services."  Do you have a link for XenApp, by chance?
