When using Netscaler, is-it possible to connect directly to an internal website (http://intranetprod.xxx) without using VPN or Web Interface/Storefront ?

Yes, you create a Load Balancer: it will act as a proxy. Clients will connect to it's public IP (typically by its public FQDN), netscaler will load balance and proxy your connection to the internal website.
Depending on how the internal website is set up, you may need to use URL transformation policies, or rewrite policies, to sort out the difference between the public FQDN and the internal domain name.
