hey Guys:

Wondering if anyone was able to get WEM 4.x to work with a clustered sql instance.

in following the directions from both the install docs and from Carl Stalhood's blog, I've tried entering the server\instance and database information in a myriad of ways including the format below:

servername\instance

database

data.mdf

logs.ldf

I have service accounts that have access to sql cluster as these are the same accounts that created the Citrix site in 7.11.

Be nice if the wizard had the same connectivity as Studio or PVS in connecting to a database but I digress.

Who else is having a similar issue?

Hi Gregory,

I'm also having issues installing WEM 4.2 on a dedicated SQL Server.

But I think I found a way to enter the connection string.

Try using:

SQLServer.%DOMAIN%/%SQLINSTANCENAME%;%SQLPORT%

The default would be \ and , but this doesn't work for me.

Using / and ; at least let me proceed to the next step.

Would be great to know if you got it to work and which settings you used finally.
