harley five
Hello everyone, I am upgrading my license server today. How do I update the license files? Do I just re-download the licenses? Or is there something else involved? Thanks in advance! Link to comment
0 Pavan nannapaneni1709152483
if you're upgrading the license server to a newer version then you don't have to update the license files. If you're deploying a new license server (i.e., Hostname is different to the existing one) then you'll need to return the existing licenses from Citrix licensing portal and re-allocate the license file to the new Hostname (License file is generated using Hostname and is case-sensitive). 0 Ryan Goldstein
I can confirm my friend pavan, you do not need to re-download license files. (As long as the SA on your licenses is still active.) Its push and pray. I have only had 1 issue after about 50+ license server upgrades. Make a backup of your license file. Link to comment
0 Paco Tzanov1709158481
You should not need to re-download the license files. It's literally 'push and pray' as mentioned. I did an upgrade from 11.14.0.1 build 22103 to 11.15.0.0 build 26000 and the lic server started reporting that all the licenses are in use, so some users were not able to launch apps. Glad a had a VM snapshot to revert to. Just opened a case with Citrix. Link to comment
