EDT + Netscaler - Lockup/Disconnect

psudder447 | Enthusiast | 6 | Members | 59 posts

I'm currently testing EDT via Netscaler 51.26.  For the most part, the session works quickly and is responsive.  I am, however, able to consistently recreate a display lockup that requires a disconnect/reconnect.  Using EDT on the local LAN and bypassing Netscaler does not lock up.

Let me know if you want additional information or logs.

Regards,

-Patrick

thanks for the event. Would it be possible for you to wait for the next version of Citrix Receiver (14.7.x) which is coming up shortly.

Thanks

Kishore

I'm happy to test the pre-release, if you'd like.  I believe I have a recent NDA on file with Citrix.  Feel free to reach out, if applicable @pcs504 on Twitter.

Update: Environment has been updated to 7.13 + Receiver 4.7 -- No change.  EDT lockups, when using Netscaler, occur at the 10minute mark consistently and repeatably. LAN access works fine.

Thanks for trying with 7.13 and receiver 4.7. Sorry to hear that you still see  the same issue in your setup. I assume you are not using EDT in UG setup in this setup as reported on other thread

- if not I would suggest you calling support and get this escalated to get a closure look of your deployment. Please do share the case id once you have. I will be interested to know what environment conditions are trigger this in your setup.

Thanks

Kishore

FYI, I have the exact same issue.

VDA 7.13

Receiver 4.7

NetScaler 11.1 51.26

No MBF

Server 2012R2

Works fine direct to StoreFront.

I will also take a capture and open a case.

Patrick,

Do you have a firewall between your NS and your VDA?  I do.  I currently allow TCP and UDP for 1494/2598.  Nothing else.  I originally thought it was the udp timeout on my firewall, however, I tweaked mine to 1 day, with no success.

I have Meraki gear sitting in front of this Netscaler and have no way to tweak that, unfortunately.  I thought about putting this on the edge to test but I haven't found an elegant way of doing that yet... I'm down to one IP at this site.

I've been pulled in a number of directions so I haven't had the opportunity to put the case in... Let me know if you get yours in first so that I can reference.  If you'd like to collaborate, feel free to reach out to me on twitter and we can exchange other contact methods privately: @pcs504
