XenApp 6.5 and PVS 7.1 SP3.

Sometimes after reboot the XA-servers are having problems with Group Policy settings etc. We have found that when this happens, Gpresult /R shows:

This computer is member of the following security Groups:

On a working target device It show the correct computer-name above. On the malfunctioning it shows the computer name from the target device used when the vdisk was last updated.

Another reboot often solves the problem temporary, but then it happens again sometimes after furhter reboots.

Any hints??

Hi Tonny, this is only apparent until a gpupdate /force is completed? As opposed to completing a reboot.

Sometimes in some scenarios, timing behavior can be observed where the initial group policy retrieval fails during target boot up. Group policy will then try to refresh at a later time. Adding a start up script to call group policy update shortly after boot is finished could correct this behavior sooner, if it matches up with being resolved with gpupdate.

Yes we tried that several times and it does not correct the problem. We havent been able to manually reproduce the problem although it happens randomly after nightly reboots of the XA-servers.

I am now seeing this at now two clients- for me both with Server 2012 R2 and PVS 7.6

One of them it only happens intermittently but the other is now consistent with all servers at all times.
