NetScaler Gateway SSL-VPN and EPA for Linux (Ubuntu)

Hi,

it seems there is no epa available on NetScaler for Linux (Ubuntu) devices although I can set "Linux EPA Plugin Upgrade" on my gateway vServer".

Am I right that there is no epa support for linux as the OPSWAT EPA Editor only has options for Windows and Mac?

Has anyone some info on EPA for linux?

Thank you,

Regards,

Nico

The eDocs say "Clients for Mac, Windows, Linux  are included in NetScaler firmware." and also say "However, if admins want to distribute Clients using push model as may be feasible with Windows or Linux platform then admins can download and distribute"

However, as is often the case, they confuse things: whilst the *VPN* clients are available just for Win, Mac, iOS and Android, the *EPA* client is also available (located on the Netscaler, along with the Win & Mac ones) for Linux: If you look on the Netscaler in /var/netscaler/gui/epa/scripts/linux, then you'll see some files, including "nsepa.deb" and "nsepa.rpm". (The windows & Mac files are close by).

Now, I know zero about Linux versions.... is that .rpm file any use for Ubuntu?

Correct, OPSWAT only works for Win/Mac, but you can still use classic policies with all the EPA's... although I don't know what EPA stuff is supported for Linux. Look at the built-in classic expressions for some examples.
