On all of our 4.5 servers, I'm seeing errors recurring every two minutes. It's event ID 103, and the description is:

"An error occurred when processing incoming CGP downstream data."

I've installed hotfix rollup 1, but I can't seem to resolve this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Same issue as well. I am still actively trying to correct the issue.

The XTE log has the following lines that goes with the event.

[Mon Aug 20 13:45:22 2007] [error] (70014)End of file found: An error occurred when processing incoming CGP downstream data
[Mon Aug 20 13:45:22 2007] [error] (70014)End of file found: An error occurred when processing incoming CGP downstream data
[Mon Aug 20 13:45:22 2007] [error] (70014)End of file found: An error occurred when processing incoming CGP downstream data
[Mon Aug 20 13:45:22 2007] [error] (70014)End of file found: S 0x7A9EB8: ap_get_brigade failed
[Mon Aug 20 13:45:22 2007] [error] (70014)End of file found: S 0x7AA310: ap_get_brigade failed
[Mon Aug 20 13:45:22 2007] [error] (70014)End of file found: S 0x7AA768: ap_get_brigade failed

I have verified ACL rights on all directories and files. I have also checked the contents of the httpd.conf file. This is a 4.5 base install. If all else fails I will try and apply R01.

R01 has failed 3 out of 3 servers in my development farm, so I am not in a rush to apply this roll-up pack to any production servers as of yet.

i've the same problem.

First i thought it was because an update from PS3 to PS4.5, but after i've created a fresh farm i geht the same error.

It's an entry in the applicationlog every 30seconds with event id 103.

i'm running a Windows 2k3 R2 SP2 Server with PS4.5 and RP1. FeaturePack1 is also installed.

Has someone find out a resolution for this issue in between?

best regards

Only just a thought, but the error contains the CGP (common gateway protocol).

I'm running an older verson of secure gateway in front. Might this be the problem?

Are you also running secure gateway?
It seems very possible, because of the words "incoming CGP data" of the error message.

Hey Everyone, we actually resolved the issue on our servers. We use monitoring services to check for port availability, etc. and it turns out that running tests against port 2598 generates errors in the event log. Not sure if this will help, but I thought it was worth posting in case it applies to anyone else.

I am able to generate the error on my 4.5 R01 servers by running telnet to port 2598.

Hello, we are seeing this error in our event logs also.
We have the Web Interface published internally on 2 different servers for LAN use only. I am thinking that this should eliminate the need for the CSG on these sites.
The error shows up about every 3-4 minutes.
We have Session Reliability turned off and do not have a CSG server specified for the Web Interface Sites.
(I have tried it with a CSG server also and the error continues)
We have PSE450W2K3R01 installed.
Any other ideas?
