After installing Citrix receiver 4, some of our Windows XP clients are reporting issues with USB memory drives. Windows reports "A USB device has exceeded the power limits of its hub port", regardless of which USB port used.
Uninstalling Citrix Receiver on the clients solves the issue - reinstalling reproduces the same result.
Browzing the web, it seems Receiver 4 changes the USB hubs electrical current rating from 500mA to 100mA..

Installing an earlier version of Citrix receiver seems like a temporary workaround, but we'd really apreciate a more reliable fix

Unfortunately, the technical support hotline for Denmark (8088-4616) isn't answering any calls, and the automated call handler system seems faulty, and lacking any information on opening hours.

The Citrix.com website is of no more help, with only that telephone number and a fax number - and no opening hours or email option.

I too am having the "USB has exceeded power" error with the latest version of Citrix Receiver after installing it on Windows XP computers. I called the US technical support number but I was prompted to enter service contract information (which I don't have).

Can you tell me how I can get assistance for this issue?

Our reseller told us to install a previous version, or overwrite the c:\windows\system32\drivers\ctxusbm.sys file with one from an earlier version.
Unfortunately, overwriting the ctxusbm.sys file seems to create a few error messages while using Receiver 4.0.1

There is a private fix for this under LA4582 as stated by James. This is localized to WinXP machines only.

Is it possible to make this a public hotfix? Or does anybody have a download link for this fix?

Same problem at our company and can confirm Receiver 4.1.1 corrects it. For anyone that needs it:
