I'm the author of "What Is Network Booting (PXE) and How Can You Use It?". Needless to say that i am also using this sort of PXE server for a couple of years now.
This week i wanted to experiment with booting a windows "wim" file, and i've found that to achieve this goal, i needed to upgrade the version of PXElinux i've been using to version 5.01.
The problem is that if i switch my files to be of the v5.01 branch, the VMs in Xenserver (v6.1 + patch19), are no longer able to boot anything it used to be able to with v4.06. Physical machines, do work with both the new and old PXElinux...
I have tried:
* Downloading a newer version of gPXE (v1.0.1+) as an ISO and booting off that CD to override the builtin gPXE v1.0.0. - no change.
* Removing all graphical fanciness and using the simplest of direct directives. - no avail.
* Creating the HVM with the "Copy BIOS" option enabled. - nothing, PoWer's used up...
Can anyone suggest anything that i can do to overcome this problem?
Thank you in advance, Aviad.
