XS 6.1 brings experimental support for Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8. These are not recommended for production deployments yet, but if anyone has tried these in a test deployment and has any feedback or advice that they wish to share, then please post here. We will use this information to help improve our support of these guest operating systems. Thanks.

Works like a charm -

I use XenServer 6.1 - have used the providied templates for W8 and Srv2012. Run Excalibur on 6.1 with PVS 6.2 and works like a charm. I honeslty have had no issue, with either OS.

I know with excalibur my only issue with either OS was making sure .Net 3.5 was installed prior.

I've got Server 2012 running on XS6.1 as a DC, DHCP and DNS Server for about 2 months, so far no problems,

We are in trouble with Windows Server 2012 and XS 6.1. The first time our 2012 server shuts "itself" down nightly (maybe after an idle time?) without any hints in event log. So we even didn't know the exact time for further investigation on this issue.
After some MS updates this problem seems to be solved, but now the network connection stopped irregulary, e.g. no more inbound TCP/IP connections are possible. Until now we found no workaround, even an reboot doesn't resolve this.
Our hardware platform is from IBM, x3550 with 2 physical CPUs, 4 cores each and 32 GB RAM, RAID 10. There is no additional software on this software, no anti-virus, no firefox, only microsoft roles and features. The windows firewall is completly disabled.

So try windows server 2012 by your own. :(

I need to bring up a new Server 2012 Domain Controller and would rather do so in XenServer when it is fully supported. Any news on when support for 8/2012 will move from experimental to full?
