This is the message I receive in the event logs on the web interface when I tested logging in at a WAN site. On the user side the Web Interface logon screen appears but there is an error during login:

"The system could not log you on. Ensure that you entered your details correctly and try again. If you are still unable to log on, contact your systems administrator as your credentials may be invalid or there may be a problem with the authentication system"

I have tested on the LAN and I can login.

I will try and explain the layout of our Citrix infrastructure as best I can as it is a new build (Xenapp 6 Server 2008 R2 SP1):

Server 1 - Licensing/Web Interface/Management
Server 2 - Xenapp server for a published desktop
Server 3 - Xenapp server for a published desktop (a clone of Server 2)
Server 4 - 2008 Print server connected to the farm
Citrix Access Gateway - Configured for iPad's uses Server 1 Web Interface but points to applications on our current PS 4.5 farm

-The Xenapp Web Site on Server 1 has the XML port specified as 8080, authentication point at the web interface
-The Xenapp Services site (For iPads) on Server 1 has the XML port specified as 80, authentication point at the web interface
-The unfiltered computer policy has the 'Trust XML requests' enabled and 'XML service port' set to 8080

I am a little unsure what to do here and suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

I have fixed this issue by unregistering XML and registering on port 8080 and then starting the XML service.

Yes, I also have done the same and it worked for me. Had to bind the new XML port using policy in the delivery services console - Once restarted iis and xml service, she banged!

I had the same solution (I think). I'm going to break it down step by step as I would have liked it broken down for me.

- Started the Citrix Delivery Services Console
- Drilled down to Citrix Resources > XenApp > {my Farm name} > Policies
- Opened (Edit) the Unfiltered policy under the Computer tab
- Removed the XML service port entry
- Closed the Citrix Delivery Services Console
- Restarted the Citrix XML Service using the Services MMC

This fixed the issue for me

Check on whoch port the XML Service is currently registered.

- netstat -anob
- search for the line with the process ctxxmlss.exe
- Be sure your WI points to the right port
- Be sure your access gateway points to the same sta as configured within the WI.

Rgds
Michael
