I have 5 xenapp 6 servers working under hyper-v environment, I applied the r2 sp1 for the host,I was able to apply dynamic memory, it works great, however I wanted to apply sp1 for the guest machines which have xenapp 6 installed.Before I test the servers I took the snapshot and I applied sp1 for the one of the xenapp servers( fourth one). So next day I was monitoring the number 4 xenapp server, and Ica connections are taking place on 1th,2th,3th,5th but not on 4th server. So I had to revert the system and ica sessions are taking place on 4th server again.
So What I was wondering is if xenapp 6 is not working with win2008 r2 sp1?

Has anybody ever tried yet?

We've got some test servers running 2008 R2 SP1 and XenApp 6 - and have no problems at all. So yes it should be okay. We have all the Citrix hotfixes for XenApp6 applied though - do you have many XenApp6 hotfixes installed?

...Although we're running ours on VMware.

Can you still connect to the XenApp 6 server by other means like RDP or mapping a drive? Can you connect out from the server?

Sounds like - from Thomas' post - XA600W2K8R2X64001 is needed if not already installed.

The application we are streaming has not dated Compatibility test with windows 2008 r2 sp1, The hotfix is supposed to fix the issue, however 2008r2sp1 is new, xenapp 6 is new, the software that we stream is also new for 2008r2, I think I should wait at least couple months then I can check if there will be any bugs, At the moment being without sp1 is not bothering the production environment.
