Please help,

we have Xen server 5.6 FP 1 with iSCSI storage volumes. Accidentally we upgraded Xen Server from 5.5 to 5.6 and deleted all iSCSI storage volumes.

We assume, that physically the data has been untouched.

/etc/lvm/backup folder is empty. Due to this problem, we can not recover LVM pool.

We found post dealing with this issue http://blog.adamsbros.org/2009/05/30/recover-lvm-volume-groups-and-logical-volumes-without-backups/ . According to our opinion, steps described in that post are too risky.

We also found original post on Citrix about downgrading Xen Server from 5.6 back to v. 5.5. This comes more useful to us, although we are not sure. http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX127539

Could you please give us some hints? Does it make sense to downgrade? Did the upgrade process make any backup of previous LVM pool and other data?

Thank you very much!!!
