WI 5.3... We've enabled the Desktop Viewer as WI is front ending both XenApp and XenDesktop. With the Desktop Viewer enabled the "Percent of the client desktop..." from XenApp published desktops are ignored.

I've found CTX107284 but isn't applicable to WI 5.3

I've also found CTX119784 where I can disable it for specific farms (XenApp). From this link it leads me to believe the Desktop Viewer may not be supported for XenApp but it's referencing the 11.1 client and WI 5.1.

Ideally we'd like to enable the Desktop Viewer for both XenApp and XenDesktop and enable "Percent of the client desktop..." to 93% for all desktops.

For all XenDesktop I would enable the Citrix Desktop Toolbar instead of a fixed size.

How to Enable or Disable Citrix Desktop Toolbar in Web Interface
http://support.citri...ticle/CTX122544

Please note that the default.ica file is a overwrite file where you can change the behaviour for any app/desktop in a way you like, see also
How To Configure Applications to Run Non-seamlessly Through a Web Interface
http://support.citri...ticle/CTX116357

and on my website from 2006, point 2
http://www.thomaskoe...=140&Itemid=220

so in the default.ica you would add

\[XD_Desktop1]
ConnectionBar=1

That will use the Desktop viewer (really cool) but only for that Desktop. All other XenApp will be as before. You could also set you fixed size if you like
For settings see
http://support.citri...gs-wrapper.html

You saw the solution already and it works since web Interfcae 4.x and it still works with 5.3 and it doesn't matter if its XenApp, XenDesktop or XenCloude its still Web Interface...

So you're suggesting only using the desktop viewer for XenDesktop not XenApp? If it's supported I'd like to enable the desktop viewer for desktops in both environments but would like the desktop size from XenApp honored.

Problem is the percent of the desktop is not honored. With the desktop viewer enabled XenApp published desktops open windowed but not 93%. I know the users can resize the screen however it may be too much for some of them to handle..

If the desktop viewer is not supported with XenApp I'll follow your suggestion.

Its not, simply because XenDesktop as featrues that you don't have with XenApp (USB redirection). Users would just get frustrated if those options have no effect when connecting to XenApp.
