I have installed XenApp 6 with the Web Interface on one server, shut it down and cloned it. Then ran xenappprep and sysprep on the clone. Then I uninstalled the web interface from the clone. When I add both servers to the original web interface, it's unable to enumerate applications. However, I can launch applications on the clone with no problem. The event log on the web interface server indicates:

A similar message is logged for the DefaultAppPool. I found a discussion of how to reset the MachineKeys here:
http://forums.iis.net/p/1160389/1915020.aspx#1915020
but I'm afraid to try that for fear that I'll break more than I'll fix.

Same here!!!
After cloneing XenApp6 server (as the Citrix how to sad at edocs.citrix.com [Approach 1]) I have the same erros.
I could not find any working solution yet..
It seems Citrix did not tested the how to in real life ... It's sad.

Same here get this error

Open C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv\config\applicationHost.config
Copy this file in some other location before modifying

From Original file
Locate Para starting with <configProtectedData> and ends with <configProtectedData>
Delete the entire paragraph

Save the file and do "iisreset"

Open Internet explorer and browse localhost, you should now see IIS7 default page.
Configure site in web interface and it should work just fine...

I had this same event ID error when trying to enumerate a xendesktop desktop group from my standalone WI server. No cloning involved. Found that the XML port and IIS on the DDC weren't sharing port 80 very nicely.
Solution: unregistered xml port, assigned to new port (i.e. 8088), started the ctxhttp service and updated WI configuration.

Feroz, you left a superb explanation!
It helped me with my problem I posted in the Installation section of this forum (IIS and WI not working after sysprep).
Wanted to leave a "thumb up", but don't know how...

First attempt and success !
Thanks a lot Feroz.
I have a Xenapp 6 on Windows 2008 R2 and i've cloned it. I've run a sysprep in order to make a new SSID for my server.
My problem was this IIS problem.
Your solution works like a charm.

Hi guys,

after 3 years time I'm facing the same issue...

Where should I apply Feroz Kazisolution? on the services site server? or the newly cloned servers?

Thanks in advance
